Tonight, the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church hosted a City Council candidate debate for those candidates running in the Second, Third, Fifth and Seventh wards. All candidates were invited, however only three candidates responded that they would attend.

Mayor Gerbounka now supports my Municipal Consolidation Initiative he originally criticized.(0)
Council passed the 2010 municipal budget. More interestingly, in the attached article, Mayor Gerbounka has evidently bought-into an aggressive consolidation initiative I publicly introduced at July’s Council Meeting – proposing the physical consolidation of three city departments. When first announced publicly, it was met with criticism, as the mayor put it, putting the cart before the horse. Now, Gerbounka’s on board with it. Thanks for the support, Mayor.
